Lee Daniels has officially shot down the possibility of Jussie Smollett returning to the show Empire.
Lee is the co-creator of the show, and he responded on Twitter to a story from Variety that stated the show is preparing for Jussie's return.
Jussie’s status on the show has been unknown since he was accused of faking an attack on himself earlier this year. The charges against him in the case were ultimately dropped.
FOX had said “there are no plans for the character of Jamal to return to ‘Empire'," and Lee oiginally didn't want to answer the question when he was asked about it back in April.
Jussie was suspended from the fifth season’s final two episodes back in February.
