Current Jeopardy! champion James Holzhauer continues to make game show history.
The professional sports gambler scored his 28th consecutive win on Monday night, with a game total of $130,222. That puts his total winnings now at $2,195,557.
Holzhauer became the second contestant to pass the $2 million mark in regular game play last week. The first person, of course, was all-time champion Ken Jennings, who racked up $2,520,700 over 74 games back in 2004.
If he continues this streak, he has a very good chance of becoming the new all-time champion in less than half the time as Jennings!
Holzhauer is now only $325,143 away from reaching Jennings' record total.
