Shawn Mendes is featured in Calvin Klein’s new #MyTruth campaign and now his full ad has been released.
The clip shows Shawn watching video of himself as a kid, and in a voice over he shares, “I think the real strength is putting yourself out there. Whether that’s in your music or just life in general. I’m vulnerable, and I think that’s a good thing.”
He adds, “I think the younger version of me would be pretty proud. I speak my truth in my Calvins.”
Meanwhile, another video, titled “Shawn Mendes Is iConicKally CALVIN," is basically just the singer in his skivvies, and nothing else. Check out both clips to the right.
Stills from Shawn’s Calvin ads have been met with some interesting comments from some major celebrities. Demi Lovato posted three fire emojis, while John Mayer noted, “would have loved to comment on this, but my Fruit of the Loom contract prevents me from doing so. #fotlpartner.” In addition, OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder noted, “That’s the last time loan u my Calvin’s.”
