America's largest bank got in some trouble on Twitter yesterday.
Chase bank tried to post a funny meme-like tweet on their account with the hashtag "Monday Motivation", and it ended up backfiring.
The tweet was framed like a hypothetical conversation between the bank and a customer, suggesting that the customer should cut unnecessary expenses, like making coffee at home or walking instead of taking a cab.
Unfortunately, many people did NOT find it funny - and they said it came across as "poor shaming."
Chase ended up deleted the tweet and pledged to be more sensitive on social media in the future.
