You've seen the pain many people have been feeling about the passing of Luke Perry. And while fans and stars alike are devastated by his sudden passing, the agony felt by his family is even more than many can imagine. That's because after days of hoping he'd bounce back...or at least give an indication that he could recover...they realized he wouldn't. And heartbreakingly, that's when they decided to remove him from life support.
As we previously reported, doctors sedated the “Riverdale” star to help his brain recover from the stroke. A source now tells Us Weekly that there was hope he could heal “after 48 hours or so, but too much damage had already been done.
Perry’s family, including fiancée Wendy Madison Bauer waited five days until they faced the big decision Monday. In the end, they took him off life support. Our thoughts go out to his loved ones during this difficult time.
·ONE MORE THING! The late actor was clearly all about his family. Radar Onlinehas revealed that Perry already had a will laid out “several years” before the fatal stroke, because he had already faced a “cancer scare” in 2015 and “didn’t want to leave anything to chance.” According to the outlet, the actor left everything to his two children, Sophie and Jack.
·Speaking of his son, Jack… For those that don't know, he shares his father’s love of performing. The 21-year-old is a professional wrestler under the name “Jungle Boy Nate Coy.” He’s spoken out for the first time on Instagram about the passing of his father, who was one of his biggest supporters – the late actor is even pictured in the post on the sidelines of one of his wrestling gigs. “I’ve learned so much from you, and my heart is broken thinking about everything you won’t be here for,” he writes. “I’ll miss you every day that I walk this earth. ·BUT WAIT… THERE’S MORE! We already told you that Perry’s “Riverdale” co-stars were among the celebs paying tribute to him after news broke of the fatal stroke. Now, showrunner and executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has revealed on Twitter that all future episodes of the show will be dedicated to their late star. “Going through pictures on my way to set. From the early days. With Luke in the middle. Our heart, always,” he writes. “Tonight’s episode finds Fred doing what he does best – helping Archie. It is dedicated to Luke, as all episodes will be for the rest of our run.”
