Fans at home weren’t the only ones who noticed the heat between Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper during their Oscars performance. Mel B said it made her feel “uncomfortable” for Cooper’s girlfriend, Irina Shayk, and Piers Morgan agreed… but the drama hasn’t stopped there.
The latest rumbling is that their on-and-off-screen chemistry is all part of Cooper’s plan. He wanted their characters’ romance to feel as authentic as possible… as in, having Gaga fall for him for real. Think about it, Gaga’s role was born over some pasta at her house, Cooper has gushed about the look in “her eyes” that inspired himto cast her… and they probably spent a lot of time together even before production, then through the press rounds, leading all the way up to awards season.
When it comes to rumors of tension between Gaga and Cooper’s girlfriend, a recent rumor that she unfollowed Gaga before their Oscars performance turned out not to be true… since they never followed each other to begin with, that is. And some eagle-eyed fans saw that Gaga’s ex Taylor Kinney “liked” a comment on Instagram about someone being “stoked” he “got away from Gaga #Hollyweird.” But he’s since apologized for liking the comment by “accident,” saying he’s “only proud and happy for Stef” (Gaga’s real name is Stefani.)
·ONE MORE THING! Gaga responded to all the romance rumors during her appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" last night. She gave a big old eye-roll, reminding everyone that she and Cooper are actors... and also threw some major shade at social media for spreading the rumors. "Social media is the toilet of the internet, and what it has done to pop culture is abysmal," she offered. "This is a love song. The movie 'A Star Is Born' is a love story."
