Katy Perry has confirmed her engagement to Orlando Bloom, and it seems popping the question didn’t exactly go off without a hitch. In case you missed it, Katy detailed Orlando’s romantic proposal during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
“It was very sweet,” Katy shared. “We went to dinner and I thought we were going to see some art after dinner but we pulled up to a helicopter.” Katy says they took a ride over Los Angeles, which is where Orlando asked, but he had a little bit of a mishap with a bottle of champagne.
“The funny part is we had champagne in the helicopter and the [ring] box was in his pocket and he had written down everything he wanted to say on a note,” she says. “So I’m reading, but I’m hearing the champagne is broken and the bottle’s everywhere… he’s pulling out this box that’s too big for his coat pocket, rips his coat pocket and his elbow goes into the champagne.”
Regardless of the fumble, Katy obviously said yes, and when they landed they were greeted by family and friends. She added, “He did so well.”
