It’s a new year, and with it comes a new commitment to weight loss. If you’re thinking about doing the keto diet, Jillian Michaels wants you to think again.
To review, keto uses a low-carb, high-fat diet to force your body into a state of ketosis, which will burn its fat stores. Several celebrities swear by it, including Halle Berry, Jenna Jameson, and Vanessa Hudgens. The way Jillian sees it, the plan isn’t good for several reasons. One is that you end up starving your cells when you deprive yourself of foods.
Al Roker didn’t appreciate “The Biggest Loser” star’s harsh assessment of the plan. He tweeted, “This from a woman who promoted on-camera bullying, deprivation, manipulation, and more weekly in the name of weight loss,” he noted. “Now those sound like bad ideas.”
- And Al wasn’t the only one slamming Jillian. Andy Cohen called her the “Jackhole of the Day” on Wednesday’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live.” He said, ” Don’t feel bad, keto diet. A lot of people think Jillian Michaels is a bad idea.” Ouch!
