Welp... looks like if you haven't hopped on the reusable bag train you might want to go ahead and buy that ticket or else it's gonna cost you.
Two different bills were submitted to VA General Assembly earlier proposing taxing on plastic and paper bags. These pieces of legislation, if passed by the General Assembly, would allow localities tax plastic and paper bags at 5 cents. For every bag taxed a nickel, a penny would go to the store collecting it.
