Yesterday, we reported that Meghan Markle’s estranged half-sister Samantha slammed her and Prince Harry’s Royal Christmas card. Now, their father Thomas Markle is speaking up. Again. During his appearance on “Good Morning Britain” yesterday, he called for Queen Elizabeth herself to help fix his broken relationship with Meghan.
Thomas got honest with Piers Morgan and told him that he doesn’t think that the whole paparazzi photo-staging incident and other scandals related to the wedding mean that he should be “shunned or ghosted” by Meghan, especially since he’s “apologized 100 times.”
And while he sent Meghan a message on air saying that he loves her “very much” and wants to hear from her so they can heal the rift, he also calls her a “very controlling person.” So, he asked the Queen for help, since he thinks Meghan is set in her ways. “I would appreciate anything she can do, and I would think she would want to resolve the family problems,” he said. “All families, royal or otherwise, are the same and should be together at the holidays.”
- Morgan later took to Twitter to clarify that Thomas wasn’t, in fact, paid for the interview.
- ONE MORE THING! Samantha Markle has piped up after her father’s television interview to defend him against the critics insisting he was just cashing in on Meghan gossip again. She also took the time to slam her Royal half-sis some more, saying, “this woman thinks it’s cool to ghost an entire family, best friends of 30 years, ex-husband who treated her very well, and trade everyone out for Royals and Clooneys.”
- BUT WAIT… THERE’S MORE MORE! Despite our previous reports, it turns out Meghan’s mom Doria Ragland might not be spending Christmas with the Royals. An insider now says that although she’s “of course welcome,” she hasn’t actually been “formally invited” to the festivities.
