Neil deGrasse Tyson is facing a fourth accusation of sexual misconduct from a woman who claims the celebrity astrophysicist drunkenly came onto her at a holiday party in 2010.
Tyson has already denied accusations from three women, including one who claims the scientist drugged and raped her in 1984 while they were graduate students in Texas. He commented on the accusations in a Facebook post writing, "Accusations can damage a reputation and a marriage. Sometimes irreversibly. I see myself as loving husband and as a public servant -- a scientist and educator who serves at the will of the public. I am grateful for the support I’ve received from those who continue to respect and value me and my work.”
National Geographic, which produces Tyson's award-winning show Cosmos, is investigating the claims. (Page Six)
- Tyson hasn't denied meeting these women but insists there was no misconduct.
- One of the accusers claims Tyson inappropriately touched her arm to look at her tattoo of the solar system.
- National Geographic is going to have an important decision to make.
