Gwyneth Paltrow: Separate Houses = Happy Marriage

Gwyneth Paltrow is defending her marriage against curiosity about the couple's uncommon living arrangement. She and new husband Brad Falchuk own two nearby houses and only stay together in her house four nights a week. The other three he spends in his, with two children from a previous marriage.

In defending the setup, she told the London Sunday Times, “All my married friends say that the way we live sounds ideal and we shouldn’t change a thing.” She also said, “I don’t care about the haters. It’s like Brené Brown says: I’m not making this work for people who aren’t in the arena. Haters don’t mean anything to me because they are not my people."

She and Falchuk married in September. She remains close to her ex-husband, Coldplay singer Chris Martin, and his current girlfriend, actress Dakota Johnson.
