'Sonic The Hedgehog' Movie Pushed Back Due To Character Redesign

Sorry, Sonic fans - you'll have to wait a bit longer for the new live-action movie! The release date for Sonic The Hedgehog has now been pushed back to February 14th, 2020.

The movie was supposed to be in theaters this November, but outrage from fans about Sonic's look in the first trailer caused the creators to re-think his character design.

They took the criticism to heart and announced within days that they would redesign the character to make him look more true to the original.

This caused a new concern among some fans that the visual effects artists would be overworked in order to meet the deadline before the movie's November release date. But now, director Jeff Fowler has announced that the movie has officially been pushed back to accomodate for the changes.
