Jordan Peele's 'Us' Full Remix of 'I Got 5 On It' Now Available

I've been waiting for this!

When the first trailer for Jordan Peele's new horror movie Us dropped back in December, one of the things about it that stuck out the most was its haunting use of the classic hip-hop song "I Got 5 On It" by Luniz. It was a creepy remix that really heightened the terror and immediately got everyone's attention.

Well, now the full remix is finally available to stream, as the official Us soundtrack just dropped today. This new take is officially called the "Tethered Mix" from Michael Marshall, the original vocalist behind the song's iconic hook. It's featured as a bonus track on the soundtrack.

“I love songs that have a great feeling but also have a haunting element to them and I feel like the beat in that song has this inherent cryptic energy,” Jordan Peele shared at the end of last year, explaining why he chose to use Luniz’s “I Got 5 on It” for the first Us teaser. “It’s just a dope song.”

Early reviews are already calling Us a horror masterpiece, and yet another success for Peele as a director. It hits theaters on March 22nd.
