Good news for Marvel fans: Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has officially been reinstated as the director for the 3rd film!
Gunn was fired by Disney back in July 2018 after controversial old tweets of his were dug up by people online. Many Marvel fans, and even GOTG cast members, were outraged and felt that the firing was unfair.
He was apparently re-hired months ago after many meetings and discussions with Disney, but it has just been confirmed by Deadline.
