One of the key pieces of evidence in the Jussie Smollett case has been discredited.
Chicago police claim the Empire star paid the Osundairo brothers $3500 to stage his attack, but now the duo have confirmed that the money was for a fitness program.
Their attorney, Gloria Schmidt, went on GMA today (Monday) and said the check was payment for a training and nutrition program to get Jussie in shape for a music video shoot -- just as indicated in the memo.
Last week, Jussie was indicted on 16 felony counts, one for each lie he supposedly told cops.
