Bless Her Little Heart! Heidi Montag Tries to Talk Diversity

Whether they’re on the red carpet or Instagram, more and more stars are using their platforms to make statements about social justice. But it looks like Heidi Montag wasn’t the most prepared to do the same in a new interview with Vogue. While talking about MTV’s upcoming reboot of “The Hills,” the star is asked to comment on the lack of diversity on the show.

In response, Montag explains that not everyone on the show looks “the same”... when it comes to their hair color, that is. “I mean, Audrina [Patridge] has darker hair, I feel like Mischa [Barton] has darker hair,” she says. “But yeah, we’re just California girls and it’s a group of friends, and that just happens to be the group that came together… I have other, very diverse friends that are not featured on the show.”

Naturally, the Twitterverse is having a field day with this one. While some are having fun making fun of her response, others aren’t so surprised...and very few - if anyone at all - is actually outraged.
