This would not be the first time Jussie Smollett lied to police officers.
A deep dive into his criminal past revealed that Jussie spent three years on probation. A decade ago,he lied to cops during a DUI arrest. Jussie gave them a fake a name by pretending to be his brother, Jake.
It appears history repeats. Jussie may have staged an attack last month featuring a noose and bleach, implicated Donald Trump supporters and called it a hate crime. A crisis management expert said, (quote) “If he made it up, Jussie Smollett has big problems in both a court of law and the court of public opinion.”
Because of his criminal record, prosecutors may not go lightly on Smollett, who could face three years in prison for filing a false police report. (Variety)
