Over the weekend, Kensington Palace tweeted a sweet photo of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle that’s featured on their Christmas card this year. The picture comes from their wedding reception at their future home, the Frogmore House, where the Royal couple are shown watching a fireworks display with an arm around each other.
Apparently, the pic struck a nerve with Meghan’s estranged half-sister Samantha Markle, who has spoken up once again to voice her complaints. Samantha has taken to her private Twitter account to slam the Christmas card, saying it represents Meghan turning her back on her family. Why? Well, because Harry and Meghan have their backs turned in the photo… because they’re watching fireworks.
“Interesting that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have their backs turned. Is this towards the world or just the Ragland and Markle family?” she writes. “It’s incredibly rude to turn your back in a Christmas photo that is meant to share warmth and good wishes with the world.” Check out the photo for yourself below.
ONE MORE THING! As Meghan continues to shake up the Royals, Prince Harry is apparently planning on skipping out on a family tradition because of her. According to a source, he’s opting out of joining his brother Prince William and their father Prince Charles to shoot pheasants on Boxing Day, so as not to upset his wife who loves animals and dislikes hunting. “William sees this as another concerning example of his brother being pulled away from his family by his new wife,” says the source. ”Harry’s always loved hunting and it has provided them with a great chance to bond as brothers.”
