Back in 2015 when then-presidential nominee Donald Trump hosted “Saturday Night Live,” and Sia was the musical guest and she reveals that she shot down the reality-TV-star-turned POTUS when he asked for a picture, and he took it quite well.
In an interview with “Rolling Stone,” Sia shares that Trump came over to her with daughter Ivanka, saying, “We’ve got to get a photo!,” to which Sia replied, “Actually, do you mind if we don’t?” adding, “I have a lot of queer and Mexican fans, and I don’t want them to think that I support your views.”
Sia said his reply was simply, “Oh, no problem. Then don’t.” She adds that “he didn’t seem angry or hurt in the slightest." “It was as if he viewed me as protecting my brand," Sia notes. "He respected that.” As for how the whole exchange ended, Sia offers, “I was like, ‘Thank you so much, and then I went into my dressing room and had crazy diarrhea.”
